Water your young trees! Don't
forget to deeply water all the young trees on your property including
street trees so they get established and continue to grow
strong.
Visit us at the Farmers' Market
. We'll be talking to people, sharing written information about trees,
handing out Buttons and Tree Watering reminders, taking names to join Mountain View Trees
and accepting donations. The Farmer's Market dates that we have set are:
- August 3, 2008
- October 5, 2008
- December 7, 2008
Request a Street
Tree
Mountain View Trees and the City of Mountain View
encourage all homeowners to have a city street tree. If you wish to have
the city plant a new or replacements street tree on your property you may
contact them and request a tree. The City will purchase and plant a tree
on your property. Once it is planted, it will be your responsibility to
water and care for the tree, but the city will prune it as needed.
Instructions for the care of your young tree will be given to you when the
tree is planted. You can also find them on this website. One of the city's
arborists will contact you to review the space and discuss a tree
selection from the city's master Street Tree List. You may call them at
(650)903-6273 or fax them at (650)961-6290 or email them at parks@mountainview.gov.
